100 Mile Entry;

You MUST have at least one finish recorded at a UK ultra on a distance of 70k or more on a comparable course, sorry no 'flat' ultras, the finish must be recorded between the dates of 1st November 2017 and October 2018 (yes the 2017 WRU 60 counts)

Cut off times?

30 miles = 7 hours 30 min, that's 15 miles/3.5 hours

60 miles = 15 hours, that's 30 miles/7.5 hours

100 miles 32 hours, that's 50 miles 16 hours or if you do not reach the 60 mile point within 20 hours you will be DQ'd you are not going to magically run the final 40 miles in 10 hours are you?

For all distances, you WILL, be removed from the course if you will not make these cut offs, no exceptions. If you can't make the generous cut off times, DO NOT enter this event, you will be putting your self and our team at risk.

We have had to stop all the following due to miss use and abuse!
Refunds are not available, there will be NO refunds.
Deferrals are not available, there will be NO deferrals.
Name change is not available, you can not change the name on the entry.

A finishers medal and t-shirt will only be issued for the distance you start on race day, if you do not complete that distance, you will only receive a finish time for the distance you have completed.

Cup-Less - As a step towards zero waste at any of our events, we are go cup-less for the White Rose Ultra, this simply means that if you are not carrying a water bottle etc, you will need to bring some form of cup, that way, we don't have to dispose off over 600 plastic cups! Before anyone suggests we are been tight, we only pay about £1.99 /100 its simply a huge amount off waste!
NO cups, this means there are no cups at the event for hot or cold drinks
BAC Outdoor Leisure
all ready have in stock the Hydropack Speed cup (just an example of what is available)

What support is available along the route?

Full support is available within the start and finish area, this includes first aid, physio, toilets, water etc. ON the route the feed stations locations can be found on the route page section of this website.

What is the terrain?

Multi-terrain course, with hills, one or two big hills! Sections of natural tracks and trails, with some fantastic views! the last two or three miles is a lovely long down hill or was it up hill...

What kit do I need to bring on the day?

There are several things that you will need on the day to help you to perform your best. The following list is just a suggestion of what we have found useful - talk to other athletes, Marathoners, Join a local club who will be able to give you some great advice and develop a list to best suit you. * Warm/suitable clothes for prior to and after the event. * Safety pins - e.g. for race numbers * Race numbers - pinned/attached to your race t-shirt/top or race belt, and any medical conditions clearly written on the back of your number. You will need to show your race numbers for the duration of the ultra and at prize giving.

Map of how to get to the event venue.
Do not ring us on event day because you can not find the event centre, or where to park, its a really busy time for us.

Mandatory kit - Mandatory Kit list regardless of the weather for all competitors, this is the minimum we will expect you to have.

  • Waterproof jacket - not a bin bag or fashion jacket. It needs to have a waterproof membrane and taped seams.
  • Waterproof trousers - as above
  • Insulated layer OR fleece OR lightweight duvet jacket
  • Long sleeve top
  • Hat and gloves
  • Water bottle and or cup, there are none at any of the aid stations. (yes a water bladder counts as a bottle but then you WILL need a cup)
  • Torch and spare batteries (or spare torch) AND a back light or reflective/hi-viz and or, a glow stick attached to your back. There are several road crossings and we want you to be seen and safe.

Note; No, the light on your phone is not a torch!
Yes a Buff or similar does count as a hat
If you run in a long sleeved top, yes this counts as a long sleeve top
No, you do not have to run in the waterproof trousers, but yes you have to carry them
Phone, the best phone you could use is a disposable pay ads you go Vodafone, cost around     £10.00 the battery will last for 3 or 4 days and unlike a smart phone, you will get a signal (this also frees up your smartphone for selfies, Facebook, twitter and all the other ultra essentials)

How can I check race results?

Race results will be published within two days after the race ends, on our website under the 'Event Results'. Yes photo ID will be required; Driving licence, student id passport etc, at registration you will need to provide your name and address details & an emergency contact.

Are there any water / feed station?

There are checkpoints and feed stations every few miles on the White Rose Ultra course. some of the  checkpoint's feed / drink stations, are manned by volunteers (many from local running clubs and the local community) see route section of this website for rough guidance on all CPO locations.

Where do I park?

The venue has limited parking for event staff only.
Just remember some of the local residents could be manning some of the checkpoints.

In 2018 there was some ridiculous parking on pavements, across gateways double parked etc, this will not be tolerated, at registration you will be required to provide your vehicle registration number and face disqualification form the event!
